About Fred

Aside from being Chase’s Pop-Pop, Fred is a father of two, grandfather of five and married to his wife LuAnn for over 35 years. Fred served as a paramedic for three years before deciding to go into the financial field. Fred has over 35 years in finance, where he has worked in fraudulent investigations for some of the largest banks in the U.S., including JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup and now Morgan Stanley, in Financial Crimes Risk. Fred also serves on the Emergency Response Team (CERT) for Pasco County, where he is able to use his prior paramedic skills to help in emergency situations. Prior to being a grandfather, Fred served on the Board of Directors for the Wesley Chapel Cowboys Football and Cheerleading as a medical director, as well as provided medical support to players on the field. A few years after Chase was born, Fred joined the Board of Directors as Vice President for GiGi’s Playhouse Tampa, a local non-profit Down syndrome Achievement Center. Fred brings a wealth of knowledge from prior service on a Board of Directors, as well as compassion, commitment and a desire to support children and their families during the hardest challenges in life, as he did for his own family. I️n his free time, Fred enjoys being at church, spending time with his family, and running his small car detailing business on the side. Fred is looking forward to the rewarding experience the Chasing Life Foundation will offer and is excited to help support all the brave children just like his grandson, Chase.
